This year's trip was good overall, but not great. We avoided any major problems & enjoyed our time together, for sure! We were probably a week or so ahead of the migration, and the number of birds in the area was the difference between good & great...
Stats show we killed 26 birds in 24.5 hours of hunting, which puts that number (1.06 per hour) right in the middle of our historical average. We've had a couple trips below 1.0 (that felt like bad hunting) & a couple above 2.0 (that felt like awesome hunting) - but most have been in the 1-2 range.
